Juventus market, fans furious with Youssef En-Nesyri

It seemed all done for the transfer of Youssef En-Nesyri to Juventus, then came the icy shower: despite the agreement reached by the Bianconeri club with Fenerbahce, the Moroccan center forward decided to put his foot down by blocking the negotiation. En-Nesyri would prefer to return to the Sevilla jersey and is waiting for a phone call from the Rojiblancos. The news has unleashed the ire of Juventus fans who have vented their anger on social media: many are asking the club to abandon the En-Nesyri hypothesis.
“We need footballers who really want to play for Juventus” wrote one fan on X. “Wearing the Juve jersey should be an honor for any footballer, we don”t pray to anyone to convince him to come to Turin” the thought of another user. Juventus sporting director Marco Ottolini also did not take Youssef En-Nesyri’s behavior well at all and is thinking of veering towards Jean-Philippe Mateta, who is eager to leave Crystal Palace as early as this market session.
The French champion has a contract with the English club until 2027 but would like a change of scenery in the coming weeks and there is no shortage of options: in addition to Juventus, there are also Aston Villa and Manchester United on his trail. Crystal Palace is resigned to losing Jean-Philippe Mateta and would be willing to give the ‘green light’ for a transfer in the winter only if an offer of at least 30-35 million euros arrives, otherwise the Frenchman will remain in London until the end of the season.
“Mateta has never explicitly asked to be sold, nor have we received any offers so far,” said England team coach Oliver Glasner. “Every player has a price at which the club, taking into account his age and contract, says okay and negotiates his transfer, but there have been no offers for Mateta so far.”
Interviewed by Repubblica, Jonathan David commented on the rumors about the possible purchase of a new striker by Juventus as follows: “I am not here to be untouchable. Continuity helps a lot, it’s true, but you have to earn your place through performance. I would have no problem playing with another forward, just as I have no problem playing alone. The most important thing is to get to know each other”.
