Serie A: Atalanta’s poker at Parma, Genoa recovers a Bologna in crisis
Two home victories in the 3 p.m. matches of the 22nd day of Serie A: Atalanta routs Parma 4-0 at home thanks to goals from Scamacca, De Roon, Raspadori and Krstovic, and consolidates its seventh place at 35 points, -4 from sixth-placed Juventus. For Palladino’s team, it is the fourth win in the last five matches, while Parma slips to 15th place with 23 points.
In the afternoon’s other match yet another setback for Italiano’s Bologna: ahead 0-2 at Marassi, the Emilians were brought back by De Rossi’s Genoa to a 3-2 final. In the standings, Bologna remains stuck at 30 points in eighth place, while the Grifone get a very heavy victory by climbing +6 from the relegation zone.

Orobics in control of the match from the first minutes: Palladino’s team took the lead at 15′ on a penalty kick awarded for Britschgi’s foul on Zalewksi. Parma is in trouble and on 24′ suffers the doubling: Circati makes a mistake in the setting, De Ketelaere recovers the ball and with a splendid low cross rewards the insertion of De Roon who signs the 2-0. The Nerazzurri miss the triad with Ederson, only just before halftime comes the first chance for the Ducals, signed by Benedyczak, who forces Carnesecchi to make a great save with a header.
In the second half Atalanta is in management while Cuesta changes his Parma inserting Valeri, Pellegrino and Oristanio. The Crusaders were more aggressive but lacked attacking flair and the hosts were not surprised. The Bergamasks at 65′ squandered a 3-0 lead with Raspadori, who made up for it at 73′ signing his first goal in the Nerazzurri, an empty-goal touch on Krstovic’s assist. Pellegrino’s attempts were not enough for Parma, Atalanta diluted in the final scoring poker with Krstovic, tap-in after a Corvi rebound.

Bologna was better in the first half at Marassi: Vincenzo Italiano’s team closed the first 45′ in the lead thanks to Ferguson’s right-footed shot from distance at 35′. At the start of the match the Grifone claimed a penalty for Freuler’s foul on Vitinha but was not listened to by the referee.As the minutes passed, the Felsinei took the field and created chances with Rowe and Immobile before Ferguson’s advantage.
In the second half Bologna doubled immediately thanks to Otoa’s own goal, who in an attempt to anticipate Zortea pushed the ball into his own goal. De Rossi’s team reacted, and the turning point came on 57′: Bologna goalkeeper Skorupski was sent off for a foul on Vitinha on the edge of the box, the action was judged as a clear goal opportunity and the extreme defender was kicked out. On the ensuing free kick, Malinovskyi beats Ravaglia, who was guiltily surprised.
The hosts pushed by the crowd go in search of the equalizing goal, and in 78′ Ekuban with a great turn makes it 2-2. The inertia is now totally on the side of Genoa, and at 90′ comes the goal of victory for the Grifone, a eurogoal by Messias, scoring with a left-footed turn that leaves Ravaglia stunned: comeback completed.
