Allianz renews its commitment to Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games

Allianz, Official Insurer of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, is helping to unite people in peaceful competition at one of the world’s biggest sporting events. Athletes from all countries benefit from Allianz’s support to help them excel in competition and prepare for their future after the Games. The launch of the Allianz Safety Sled bobsled is Allianz’s first step to actively improve safety in the sport. 200 torchbearers from the Allianz community (including employees, customers and agents) will participate in the Paralympic Flame Journey as a symbol of unity, carrying the Flame all the way to the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympic Games on March 6, 2026.
Celebrating 20 years of partnership with the Paralympic Movement, Allianz emphasizes its continued support to increase inclusion through sport. “Allianz is proud to partner again with the Olympic and Paralympic Movements to bring the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Games to life. Italy is one of our key markets globally and I would like to thank our colleagues at Allianz who have supported the host country in welcoming the world in a spirit of togetherness and conviviality. Whether it is supporting athletes in their preparation for competitions and life, or bringing serenity to organizers and spectators, Allianz’s support of the Games is designed to amplify the Olympic spirit beyond sporting boundaries to inspire people around the world,” said Oliver Bäte, CEO of Allianz SE.
In Italy, the host country of Milan Cortina 2026, Allianz supports both Team Italy and the Paralympic athletes by promoting a wide range of initiatives involving customers, agents and employees. These efforts aim to connect local communities through shared pride and collective participation in the run-up to the Games. The communication campaign is multi-channel, spanning TV, outdoor, print and digital, complemented by a rich program of events and partnerships in the sports ecosystem. “We have supported CONI from the very beginning. The partnership with Giovanni Malagò has been perfect and today I thank him publicly for his commitment and self-sacrifice. These Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games fill us with joy,” commented Giacomo Campora, CEO of Allianz Italia.
The Allianz Tower in Milan will host the Milan Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee from 2020. And during the Paralympic Winter Games, the 47th floor will become the Italian Paralympic House, the official Paralympic headquarters in Milan. To reach the widest possible audience, Allianz Italia has launched a free ticket competition, an extensive social media communications plan, television, radio and outdoor advertising, and public and media events and initiatives. All these activities, collectively, turn the Games into a moment of national unity, engaging people far beyond the competition venues.
