After a few sporadic appearances in Serie A with the Pisa shirt, Louis Buffon, the 2007-born forward son of Gianluigi, the legendary Azzurri goalkeeper, is ready to cut his teeth in Serie C. According to reports from Sky Sport, in fact, the young striker has reportedly accepted a move on a dry loan to Pontedera, in the third series, to find more space and accumulate experience on the field. Buffon would then return to the nearby provincial capital in the summer, at the end of the season with the granata.

In this season, Louis Buffon has taken the field just five times with the Nerazzurri jersey, the first of which was in the Coppa Italia against Torino in the 1-0 defeat last September 25 (23 total minutes played). Next came his first four appearances in Serie A: 14 minutes in Bologna-Pisa 4-0 on Oct. 5, his full debut in the top flight; one minute in Pisa-Inter 0-2 on Nov. 30; 10 minutes in Lecce-Pisa 1-0 on Dec. 12; and 7 minutes in Pisa-Juventus 0-2 on Dec. 27.

Different is the discourse regarding national representations: Summoned by the Czech Republic’s Under-19s (of which he is a citizen because of his mother&#8217s nationality), Buffon played three European Championship qualifying matches in mid-November, scoring six times, three in the 6-1 win over Azerbaijan and three more a few days later at home to Northern Ireland in the 4-0 final for the Czechs, who lead Group 13 qualifying just ahead of the Northern Irish with three days to go.

Luois Buffon took his very first steps as a soccer player at Sisport, before moving to Juventus in the Under-13 category and exploding at goal-scoring level in 2022-23, scoring 17 goals in 20 games with the CBS Scuola Calcio U16 jersey. In 2023 he joined the youth sector of Pisa, making a rapid path to professionalism.

In 2025 he made his senior debut with the Tuscan Nerazzurri club itself: his first appearance in Serie B came on March 9, 2025, in the 3-2 loss to Spezia. At the national team level, he chose the Czech Republic for the path at the youth level but remains eligible for the Italian national team at the senior level, according to FIFA rules.
