Lele forever, president looks ahead: "It will be a great 2026, stay with us"

Lele forever crosses the quarter-century mark and the president, Roberto Brandazzi, heralds a 2026 full of initiatives. The father of Gabriele, after whom the association is named, does so through a statement in which he also addresses the issue related to the Monza Power Run. “For 25 years we have been a living presence in the area – he proudly recalls -: an association born to transform pain into commitment, and commitment into concrete help. In this journey, made up of people even before events, in recent years we have had the honor and joy of organizing 11 editions of the Monza Power Run: a goliardic, noisy and colorful race, capable of uniting sport, friendship and solidarity in a day that has become for many an appointment of the heart. Precisely because we want to cherish and respect all that the MPR has stood for, we feel it is our duty to communicate to you with transparency an important choice: in 2026 the Monza Power Run will not be organized”.

Once again a great success for the Monza Power Run
Many showed up dressed goliardically…
… these two, among the most appreciated, were in fruit even before they left
On Saturday there'was the 12 kilometers
The Monza Power Run is now in its eleventh edition…
… and is one of a kind for a variety of reasons…
… obstacles are very particular…
… every year a new one is placed…
… but the greatest strength of the MPR is one'other…
… the'entire proceeds are donated to the fight against leukemia, thanks to the association 'Lele Forever'…
… stepping over obstacles is crucial…
… doing good even more…
… and Sunday 20 there will be an encore with the 6-kilometer batteries

“2026, for us, is not a year like any other – he points out -It is our 25th anniversary, a milestone that belongs to the whole community and that we wish to celebrate as it deserves, focusing energies, resources and volunteers on an event dedicated to the association’s history, its social goals and the people who made it possible. To do it right, we have to make a choice of priorities, just as has been done over time for other events, such as the St. George Soccer Tournament, Rally Bike, and the Lele Memorial at Rally Di Monza”.

“We want to say it clearly – so Brandazzi specifies -: the MPR was and is a valuable piece, but in these 25 years our association has built much more. The fight against leukemia and support for those facing the disease do not end in a single day, however beautiful and participated. They are also made up of less visible, often silent, but even more important initiatives: ongoing projects, constant presence, concrete help, raising awareness, support and networking on the ground. It is there, in daily continuity, that the strength of a community is really measured. And this community has a name and a face: Villasanta, its social fabric, families, young people, associations, merchants, institutions and all those who, year after year, have chosen to be there”.

The document drafted by the number 1 of the association continues: “If Lele forever turns 25, it is because around it there has been, and still is, a network that has never stopped believing that together we can make a difference. Special thanks go to those who make it all possible: the volunteers. Not only on the day of events, but especially throughout the year. They donate time, skills, listening, presence. They prepare, organize, assemble, disassemble, welcome, collect, accompany. They make sure that each project does not remain an idea, but becomes a reality. If today we can choose to stop a big event to focus on something equally meaningful, it is thanks to them. This decision is not a closure. It is not a farewell. It is a goodbye. The Monza Power Run does not disappear from our horizon: we simply put the anniversary and what it represents at the center in 2026, with the hope and commitment to continue to carry on, every day, our mission”.

Closing with appeal: “In the coming months we will share details of events dedicated to our 25th anniversary. In the meantime, we ask one simple and fundamental thing of you: stay with us. Continue to support us, to follow us, to be part of this story. Because the fight against leukemia is won mostly this way: with a community that does not give up, and with many small and large actions that, together, become huge. I greet you with gratitude and with the same enthusiasm as always”.
