Dorothea Wierer started as best she could her last career Olympics, in which she competes at home, in Antholz: a splendid silver medal in the mixed biathlon relay, in front of the audience that cheered her along with Lisa Vittozzi, Lukas Hofer and Tommaso Giacomel. “Let’Let&#8217s just say that it wasn&#8217t so easy today to handle the emotions because I was really very nervous. “Lukas relieved me in a very good position, so I was also a bit scared, however despite everything I am overjoyed for our team because it is nice to start like this for everyone”. The Azzurri placed behind only France, and for Dorothea it was the first Olympic silver of her career, achieved moreover in front of her own audience: “This silver is a nice gift for all the people who work behind the scenes. We will see how it goes over the next few days, but we really got a good weight off our shoulders”.
