Still problems over a contract, Bayern in trouble

Bayern Munich is concentrating its efforts in these weeks to settle the issue of expiring contracts: after the announcement of Serge Gnabry, now fans are waiting for developments on the Manuel Neuer and Konrad Laimer front. According to some sources, however, negotiations with the Austrian champion are proving to be more complicated than expected.

Laimer is doing very well at Bayern Munich and Vincent Kompany greatly appreciates his pliability.

The contract renewal (the current deal will expire in 2027) seemed to be a formality and instead there are some things that are delaying the deal. Apparently, there are some contractual details that do not fully convince Laimer’s entourage, who consequently preferred to ask Max Eberl for some time to reflect on his future.

This season, the Austrian footballer is proving to be very important for the team&#8217s balance, and the possibility of deploying him in different roles (in November he also played as a central midfielder) is a decisive factor for Vincent Kompany: the coach would like Laimer to stay at Bayern but we will have to wait for the next few weeks to have a clearer situation on the contract issue.

Last week, Bayern Munich announced the contract renewal of Serge Gnabry, who signed a new deal valid until 2028: “I am happy to be able to play for Bayern for several more years, the negotiations have been consistently positive and I never imagined I would stay here for so long – said the champion -. My goal is to continue on this path: we are a real family and can achieve great things. The reasons I extended my contract are the team, the technical staff, the’whole club, the fans, the city, the’environment: I feel very comfortable at Bayern”.

Regarding the incoming market, the Bavarian club&#8217s main goal is to sign a new central defender. The main candidates are two: Yann Bisseck from Inter Milan and Luka Vušković, who is playing on loan at Hamburg but is signed for Tottenham.
