“Federica really outdid herself – Deborah Compagnoni told Sky Sport -: she ran a flawless race, choosing every line with lucidity while many opponents were making mistakes on the bumps. Her tactical intelligence was extraordinary and the fact that she did not load herself with unnecessary pressure, after the difficult course that brought her this far, undoubtedly helped her. She did a masterpiece: seeing her come down with that confidence was exciting, because nothing was taken for granted and she turned a difficult test into a triumph”.
