Richard Krajicek bluntly on Jannik Sinner
The'former Dutch tennis player talked about the strategy he would adopt against the'Azzurro and against Carlos Alcaraz if he still played
"I’m glad I’m not playing now, the top guys are really good", openly admitted the 1996 Wimbledon winner
"Sinner, Alcaraz, Djokovic…in our time I had to beat practically only Sampras"
"I think the level of tennis is much higher, the fitness level is higher, the career longevity is higher"

According to Krajick the'only hope to make it is "to break their rhythm"

"Maybe I would lose 10 times out of 10 against Alcaraz and Sinner, but I would always get in the court"
"From the backcourt you’ll never beat them. They’re simply so strong"
"You need a couple of really aggressive serve and volley players…"
"…to see if they would be able to put players of this level"

“When we talk about the eras of tennis, we are not belittling anyone by saying that the best and most competitive era was ten years ago. To say that that was the best era of tennis does not take away from current players like Alcaraz or Sinner”, Feliciano Lopez pointed out.

“I played in the best era in the history of tennis and no one can take that out of my head. Having played against Djokovic, Nadal, Federer and even Murray…if you could beat Djokovic by having the match of a lifetime, the next day you had Nadal, the next Federer”.

Lopez also commented on Alcaraz’s decision to part ways with Ferrero: “It seemed rushed to me. I felt that Alcaraz still needed Ferrero a lot, even though he is so strong that he can continue to win on his own. The proof is that he went to Australia and won the Australian Open“.

“I think Alcaraz is infinitely grateful to Ferrero, although he preferred not to say so publicly. There is a lot of noise around and when a relationship is so intense, some time apart will do good”.
