Lindsey Vonn without respite: on Saturday the U.S. champion, who fell last Sunday during the downhill at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, will have to undergo another surgery. It will be her fourth since being admitted to Ca’Foncello Hospital in Treviso. For her, the ordeal is not over: after the’last surgery she may be able to return to the United States, where what is hoped will be her last operation awaits her.

“Here in the hospital have been very hard days” she said in a video posted on her Instagram profile, “I finally feel more like myself but I have a very long road ahead of me. Tomorrow I will have another surgery, then if it goes well I hope I can leave the’hospital and go home, where I may need another surgery”.

Lindsey Vonn suffered a dislocated fracture in her left tibia, which is currently being treated with an external fixator, shown in a photo of the athlete on social: “I don&#8217t know exactly what this will entail, but more or less the situation is like this. I am here really bad, but I have a lot of friends and family to keep me company”.
