Milan, Fullkrug misses but Modric takes care of it: Allegri passes in Pisa thanks to his star player

A.C. Milan overcame Pisa 2-1 on the road in the match of the 25th day of the Serie A championship: the Rossoneri won thanks to goals by Loftus-Cheek and Modric, securing second place in the standings and temporarily bringing themselves -5 from the leading Inter Milan. Hiljemark’s Pisa, on the other hand, remains in last place at 15 points.

More than half an hour without any shots on goal, then AC Milan goes through. In the perfect philosophy of its coach Massimiliano Allegri, the Rossoneri found the lead at the first real chance of the match against Pisa. The guests make the match, the Nerazzurri wait to restart. The Diavolo struggled to find spaces, but on 39′ came the episode that unlocked the result: Athekame from the right side got the right cross, Loftus-Cheek with a perfect header pierced the opponent’s goalkeeper, putting the meneghina team ahead.

In the start of the second half the big star (in a negative way) is Fullkrug, who entered at the start of the second half for a disappointing Nkunku. The German striker at 48′ serves Rabiot for Milan’s 2-0 lead, but the goal is cancelled out for a hand foul by the former West Ham man. At 54′ Fullkrug has a great chance to double on a penalty kick, awarded for a foul on Pavlovic, but from the penalty spot he hits the post.

Acc Milan seemed to be in full control of the match despite wasted chances, but on 71′ they conceded the equalizer: Gabbia repelled Stojilkovic’s cross, Felipe Loyola arrived first and scored the 1-1 goal that put everything back on track. Allegri reacted immediately, removing Loftus-Cheek, Fofana and Athekame and inserting Leao, Ricci and Pulisic.

All Milan has a great chance at’81’ with Fullkrug, who sends off Ricci&#8217s excellent suggestion. Modric solves the situation: the Croatian midfielder after a great exchange with Ricci pierces Nicolas putting the Rossoneri back in the lead. A Milan suffers but holds on and wins, taking home another three precious points in terms of qualification for the next Champions League.
