Third win in the last four games for Raffaele Palladino’s Atalanta, which crushed Lazio 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico in a match valid for the 25th day of Serie A. The Orobici, who impose themselves with goals from Ederson and Zalewski, climb to 42 points in sixth place, bypassing Como. The Capitolini remain eighth on 33 points.

Lazio dominated at the start, creating a number of dangerous chances from Carnesecchi&#8217s sides, but Atalanta had a flare-up on 16′ with a great chance by Krstovic, whose shot was deflected by Provsgaard. The hosts on 27′ came close to making it 1-0 with Taylor, Carnesecchi had to overcome in a dive by deflecting the ball onto the post, but on 40′ they found themselves under: Cataldi hit a Zappacosta cross in the box with his arm and referee Sacchi whistled the penalty. From the penalty spot, Ederson displaces Provedel, putting the visiting team ahead.

Lazio at the beginning of the second half continued to push, but again Carnesecchi was decisive at 54′ on Noslin. At 60′ the Dea doubled: Zalewski with a nice right-footed shot beat Provedel signing the 2-0. Sarri’s team tried to react but was inconsistent in attack, and even the entries of Ratkov and Rovella failed to shake things up.

In the final game Lazio hits another post with Raktov, confirming that it’s just not his night. The Orobici win 2-0 and enter the Europa zone.
