Edoardo Bove returns to play after more than a year

Edoardo Bove is back on the field. Fourteen months after falling ill during Fiorentina–Inter, the former purple player made his debut in a Watford shirt in the final minutes of the English Championship match against Preston North End.
The 23-year-old Roma school midfielder played the last 11 minutes of the match that ended in a 2-2 draw. At the end of the match the player, who was very moved, hugged his girlfriend Martina in the stands.
Bove is playing with a subcutaneous defibrillator. Unlike Italian rules, England allows competitive activities with these devices. “A second chance? With life, not just with soccer – he told Corriere della Sera-. When you are a soccer player, you never ask yourself why you are doing this job, as a child you know you are doing the most beautiful thing in the world. When you are forced to live without it for a while, you miss it, you realize it is your real passion”.
