The Anterselva biathlon sprint of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics saw Frenchman Quentin Fillon Maillet triumph, the author of an outstanding performance, but it is Sturla Holm Laegreid and Emilien Jacquelin who continue to do the talking. In fact, an altercation arose between the Norwegian, who took the lowest step on the podium, and the Frenchman, fourth two tenths behind, at the end of the race.

The first to start the squabble was Laegreid, who won his second bronze medal after the one he got in the 20 km individual race. “I don’t know what happened to Jacquelin. Did he stop to say hello to the audience? ” said the Norwegian to the NRK microphones. Immediately Jacquelin’s response to Norwegian media VG: “My God, I was beaten by an infidel. I will destroy him” on Sunday.

The Norwegian biathlete was all over the world media for his surprising confession after winning a bronze medal in the 20km individual race. Instead of celebrating his first career Olympic medal, the 28-year-old athlete burst into tears in front of reporters’ microphones, confessing that he had cheated on his girlfriend.

The Norwegian biathlete was a big fan of the event.

Great cycling fan, Jacquelin is participating in the Olympic races with a meaningful object: an earring that belonged to Marco Pantani. A heartfelt tribute to the man who ignited in him a passion for the sport.

“For the duration of the Games I will wear Marco’s earring. His family loaned it to me, so I will be able to go down to the race with him ideally by my side, right here in Italy” wrote Jacquelin, a two-time silver medalist in the relay at the Beijing 2022 Games.
