Sofia Goggia claims her bronze: "It was by no means a foregone conclusion"

After her fall in the super-G, Sofia Goggia is hunting for redemption in the giant slalom, the penultimate women’s skiing event on the Tofane Olympia in the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics. “My third race in Cortina comes after a bronze medal in the downhill, which was an important value especially for the contingent factors that allowed me to reach the goal – she stressed -. “In the super-giant I had a very hard day, however, I must also say that I am very proud of how I skied up to the moment of the exit, I showed my value up to that point. Talking to Sky Sport microphones, Deborah Compagnoni tried to explain what led Sofia Goggia to her fall in the super-G. “I am sorry for her mistake – explained immediately the three-time Olympic champion between 1992 and 1998 -.
