“Yes, it is simply unbelievable what he has done – said the WBD expert’It is very difficult to find the words because what he has accomplished here is extraordinary. I also think about everything that has happened with the’injury and the rest. I am not sure that without the injury he would have had the same success here. His situation would have been totally different: he wouldn&#8217t have had pressure or even anything to lose, he would only have thought about having fun”.

“It was a great gift for her to be here and to be able to compete. That&#8217s the best basis for that kind of success, but to be able to do that in the end, to put it all together and brush every single corner the way she did it, is incredible, outstanding. Hats off to her” Viktoria Rebensburg commented. Tina Maze also wanted to celebrate Federica Brignone&#8217s feat: “I think it was incredible. Her last two weeks of preparation for these races were fantastic. I was training with her three weeks ago-I was shooting a subjective video (POV) while she was training for the Olympics”.

“She has taken the right steps to be able to move forward. Competing in the Downhill and Super-G helped her find the right rhythm for the Giant Slalom. Overall, it is an incredible comeback for Federica. She improved her performance, she was able to find the same flow she had last year when she was dominating. It is incredible” said the most successful Slovenian skier of all time, who has won two Olympic titles, four World Championships gold medals and one overall World Cup in her career.

Former champions who wanted to honor Brignone include André Myhrer: “She showed immense class. He skis so intelligently, reasoning out the difficult sections, adjusting his line and staying perfectly in position. He is showing remarkable maturity and experience’
