Clearly, some fan in love with the Chinese champion decided to entrust a sheet with her proposal, but it is still unclear who is behind this gesture, and on social media the photo of the romantic gesture is depopulating. “It would be nice if the’author revealed himself, he did a very nice thing” wrote Chiara on X. Manuela also appreciated: “Not all men are boorish and this gesture proves it, kudos to whoever did it!” her comment.

Just before the start of the Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina, Eileen Gu wrote a long letter on her social channels: “In my heart, the mission is always the same: to make freeskiing known to younger people, especially girls, to make women skiing even more popular and to do my best to represent it on such an important stage as Milan Cortina. In the last few years I had some problems with injuries, now I feel renewed and found energy I didn’t even know I had. I am very proud of myself and I hope you can be too”.

“I have come back to deeply love skiing, competition and the sportsmanship of Olympic values. No matter what results I achieve, I will go to Italy to have fun and to live this experience to the fullest. How wonderful to be in love” wrote the Chinese champion.

Model, runner, athlete and influencer: Eileen Gu is the highest-paid sportswoman of these Winter Olympics. According to Forbes estimates, she earned about $23 million (more than 19 million euros) in 2025. At only 23 years old, she is by far the fourth highest paid sportswoman in the world after Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, and Coco Gauff.
