New love affair for soccer player: she marries a stranger

Estelle Laurier decided to look for love and to do so she chose to sign up for the TV program ‘Mariés au premier regard’, the French version of the international format ‘Married at First Sight’ (in Italy ‘Matrimonio a prima vista’). It is a reality show built as a social experiment: some single people agree to get married to someone they have never seen before, based on a match made by a team of experts.

To announce the decision was Estelle Laurier herself, who via a post on Instagram informed her fans: “It is time for me to share some very special and unique news. I had the’incredible opportunity to participate in the 10th edition of ‘Mariés au premier regard’. It was not a decision I took lightly but I have always dedicated my life to soccer and it was time to find a balance between my sports career and my dream of getting married”.

“In life there are opportunities that you have to seize in order to move forward and realize your dreams, so I chose to trust the’unknown, to believe in science, but above all to believe in love” wrote the Nice soccer player. Below the post so many fans wished her well: “I hope you can find someone special, you deserve it” wrote one fan. “Wow, this is a very big decision and I don’t know if I would have the courage to get married to a stranger but I’m sure it will be fine” another user’s comment.

Since Estelle Laurier posted the’announcement of her participation in the famous TV program, her followers on Instagram have increased significantly. However, she still remains far behind her most famous colleague on social media: Leicester’s Swiss Alisha Lehmann.

The Swiss star player has an impressive 16 million followers on Instagram and is the most popular soccer player on the Internet. Growing up in Young Boys, she moved to England in 2018 to play for West Ham and then wore the Everton shirt. After her experience at Aston Villa, she played for Juventus and Como before accepting Leicester&#8217s offer.
