Maria Rosa Quario, mother of Federica Brignone, former skier and journalist, spoke with RTL 102.5 about her daughter’s second Olympic gold medal win. Inside Non Stop News, with Enrico Galletti, Massimo Lo Nigro and Lucrezia Bernardo.

“Federica has never seen the’image of the fall, she has never wanted to see them and when sometimes precisely on social media she sees them she immediately closes her eyes, she detaches,” Ninna said.

She has never really seen the whole dynamic, she says she remembers it perfectly because of how she experienced it and yes now there&#8217s a bit of a tendency to want to spread these impactful images, hoping that people maybe watch more”.

“In my opinion, on the other hand, it would be much nicer to show a nice smile, a beautiful jubilation or that beautiful gesture from yesterday of her friends-adversaries bowing after the end of the competition. The two silver medalists, Sara Hector and Thea Louise Stjernesund, are two really great Scandinavian girls and it was a beautiful moment in my opinion. People, however, seem to prefer to look at, I don&#8217t know, the more shocking things that rather than the beautiful things that give joy” he added.

.

“The best moment as a mom? Perhaps, as I have said many times and as Fede also said, when there was a bit of a turning point that she made the decision to do the Olympics and they gave her the role of flag bearer. Fede was in Rome and I followed the ceremony on television when precisely they were at Mattarella’s and she precisely made her speech, by the way she had no voice that day she was half sick. That moment there, because it was like saying, “Okay now we try,” and I know it was a turning point for her as well, like a climb after the climb and now the descent begins, now we try”.

“That was a moment and then also to see her skiing during the Christmas vacations in Courmayeur, they would give her slopes very early in the morning to go up with her brother, who is her coach, and with her whole team to ski at 7:30 in the morning almost still dark and to see her then with the desire she had to try again was beautiful”.
