Aqua S.Bernardo Pallacanestro Cantù announced Thursday that it has reached a valid agreement for the sports performance of athlete Ivan Février. Février, in French, means February, and it is curious that the signing, advocated by De Raffaele, comes in this very month. “Born in Lille on Feb. 8, 1999, Février is a 205-cm, 98-pound forward – stressed the Brianza club . Blessed with a polite hand, he provides valuable offensive two-dimensionality thanks to a reliable three-point shot. Février is, however, adept at making her size count near the basket and in the rebounding battle in both halves of the court”.

“Février – recalls Cantù – was selected at age 15 to join the prestigious Pole France Federal Center, where he completed his basketball training. He subsequently began his professional career at Paris Levallois, remaining there for three seasons from 2017 to 2020, interspersed only by 5 appearances in the second league on loan to Roanne. Also in the 2020-21 season he divides his time between LNB Elité and Elité 2 between Nanterre, with whom he also collects 16 appearances in the EuroCup at an average over 6 points per game, and Blois”.

“In the next two years – still explains Cantù, rebuilding Février–s career; he remains in the second division, first at Boulazac and then at Vichy-Clermont, making his mark thanks to final averages of 16.1 and 14.9 points respectively. Thus, in 2023 came his return to the top division thanks to his signing with Le Portel. In the three years spent at the Côte d’Opale club, he gradually grew: in the first season he closed at an average of 8.1 points, reaching double figures in the play-offs, in the second he climbed 11.4 and also left his mark in the FIBA Europe Cup with an average of 10.1 points, to finally arrive at the current season in which he travels at an average of 16.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists, shooting with 37.5% from three points”.

“Février also boasts a long string of appearances with the French youth nations, culminating with a double participation in the European Under-20s”, Cantù’s release finally states.

“I am really happy and grateful for this signing, being here is really a thrill. I look forward to meeting the fans, who I know are very warm and loyal. I am ready to get to work to try all together to hit as many wins as possible from now until the end of the season” were Février’s first statements as a Cantù player.
