Frustrated by the fans of his childhood club: it is too much for Philippe Coutinho, who has decided to immediately terminate his contract with Vasco da Gama. Arriving in 2024 at the Brazilian club, the’former Inter Milan, Liverpool, Barcelona and Bayern Munich star hoped to end his career right where it all began, but his dream soon turned into a nightmare.

The results did not come, and the latest fan protests prompted him to leave Vasco immediately, displacing even the club’s managers, who tried hard to convince him to stay.

“I chose to return to Vasco because I love this club. I love everything Vasco represents in my life. Wearing this jersey was one of the most important choices I have ever made. And in every training session, in every game, I gave it my all. Always!”, he wrote on Instagram.

He played one season on loan at Bayern Munich in 2019-2020, scoring 11 goals in 38 games and winning the Bundesliga, German Cup and Champions League.

In 2022 he moved to Aston Villa, where he stayed for two seasons before moving to the Qatari club Al-Duhail in 2023. Then the bitter ending at Vasco da Gama. Coutinho, 33, did not specify in his post whether he plans to end his career or is looking for one last contract.
