Barcelona, surprise announcement on Harry Kane: fans worried

The time for the election of Barcelona&#8217s next president is approaching and candidates are presenting their plans in order to win support. Among them is Xavier Vilajoana: “We need to change course, the club must take a new direction – the man who already proposed himself as president in 2021 told Mundo Deportivo. We absolutely must generate regular revenue and take advantage of free resources such as players raised in the youth ranks”.

Xavier Vilajoana posted on his Instagram profile a photomontage of Harry Kane in a Barcelona shirt: “I always say that the first thing we have to do is to provide our youth sector with the necessary resources and give them their first opportunity, to test them. Only when we have no talent at home can Barcelona go to the market and attract the best. Like Harry Kane: a player who bonds with teammates, with talent and a nose for goal. We are working on it” said the would-be president of the Catalan club.

It is nothing new to see Harry Kane being hinted at by Barcelona: the English striker has also in the past been mentioned in the Spanish press as a possible replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who will most likely leave Spain at the end of the season to try a new experience. Within Kane’s contract there is a 65 million euro rescission clause but so far the bomber has never expressed a desire to change his air: he is doing very well at Bayern Munich and is central to the Bavarian club&#8217s present and future plans.

Recently Luis Diaz extolled the qualities of the English bomber: “I saw him play in England because we played against Tottenham several times. But it&#8217s one thing to see him as an opponent, it&#8217s another to share the locker room with him and to be on the training field with him every day…To see how he moves, how he asks for the ball, how he works for the team, how he scores: he&#8217s a machine.
