Berardi lights up, Sassuolo overwhelms Verona

Sassuolo routed Verona 3-0 in the Serie A 26th-day advance played at the Mapei Stadium. The neroverdi won thanks to Pinamonti&#8217s goal and Berardi&#8217s brace, temporarily climbing to eighth in the standings, on 35 points. Fourth defeat in the last five games for Verona, still last on 15 points along with Pisa.

After a positive start for Sammarco’s team, Sassuolo after the half-hour took the field and took the lead at the first clear chance with Pinamonti, who at 40′ found the 1-0 right-footed on an assist from Laurienté. Two minutes pass and the Emilians double: Niasse commits a foul in the box on Berardi, from the penalty spot the Black and Green striker misses but scores on Montipò’s rebound signing the double.

It&#8217s a devastating one-two for the Scaligeri, who up to that point had not demurred. In the second half, Sassuolo made the tris with Berardi, caught by a verticalization of Laurienté.
