Real Madrid blitz, assault on Bayern target

In the upcoming summer soccer market session Real Madrid will, in all likelihood, go on the hunt for a new central defender. Given David Alaba’s certain exit and Antonio Rüdiger&#8217s probable farewell, the Blancos will need a graft in the defensive department and the Spanish club&#8217s market men are already at work to identify the most suitable profile for the team.

According to reports in the Iberian media, in Real Madrid’s sights there is above all Luka Vušković: the young Tottenham defender is doing very well on loan at Hamburg and has attracted the attentions of several clubs. Thanks to his solid performances, the 2007-born Croatian center-back has landed on the radar of Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Barcelona as well as Real Madrid. Should a major offer come in, it would be hard for Tottenham to refuse.

Spurs are having a very complicated season and occupy 16th place in the Premier League (five points behind the relegation zone).

With no Champions League, the English club will need to monetize from the market, and Luka Vušković, bought by the English for 11 million euros last summer, would represent a golden opportunity to cash in. To authorize the transfer of the young defender, Tottenham is asking for between 40 and 50 million euros.

The player is also in Bayern Munich’s sights but the Bavarians are not convinced by Spurs’ valuation and consider it excessive. The club’s strategy is to save money to reinforce the defense so they will have more resources to devote to a big strike in attack. That is why Max Eberl is considering zero-parameter signings for the backline: John Stones is set to leave Manchester City and there’s also Marcos Senesi on the Bavarian club&#8217s list.

The main target for Bayern Munich&#8217s attack is Yan Diomande: the Ivorian has bewitched Vincent Kompany and the club&#8217s market men are already at work to figure out the feasibility of the deal. It certainly won&#8217t be a cheap swoop: to convince Leipzig to sell the very strong striker it could take nearly 100 million euros.
