Marko Podrascanin is already thinking about the Supercup Final Four

With two days left in the Regular Season, Marko Podrascanin avoids calculations and projections. The standings say sixth place, five lengths behind You Energy Volley Piacenza, but the veteran of the SuperLega Credem Banca looks beyond. Sunday’s trip to Cisterna and the following midweek round on Wednesday, Feb. 25 (8 p.m.30) against Vero Volley Monza must be above all stages of approach to the Final Four of the Del Monte Supercoppa. Two tests to raise the level and arrive ready for the appointment in Trieste.
“The approach will make the difference. We are coming from three consecutive tie-breaks and the last one, the most complicated, was also the one interpreted best. We have grown, but it is not enough: we have to focus on what happens in our half of the court. With the standings now almost defined and a difficult comeback, these last two matches must serve us to prepare for the Supercup Final Four.”
“One important goal we have already achieved: qualification among the best eight in Europe thanks to first place in Pool E of CEV Champions League, with five wins in six matches and only one loss, which came in France on tie-break. I hope the Final Four in Trieste can give us the energy that last year’s Italian Cup F4 in Bologna gave us. A great weekend in Friuli could launch us into a high-level second half of the season.”
