L’former world number one Andre Agassi in an interview with Veja spoke about the two tennis players leading the ATP rankings, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. The American tennis legend praised both players for what they have done in the last two years: “I am very grateful to have played in the era in which I played. This is their moment. Carlos’ rise is impressive. He combines many of the great qualities of Roger, Rafa and Novak”.

“On the other hand, the power of Jannik’s shots is frightening. The strength and consistency he demonstrates is outstanding. He is also surprisingly tall and his movement is incredible for his size. These are two players capable of establishing themselves as generational talents and it is a pleasure to watch them compete and take the game to the next level”.

The’former U.S. tennis player also had his say on a possible future star Joao Fonseca, who has not started 2026 in the best way: “He should take it as a compliment that people think he has to win every match; however, he has to understand that the expectations of others are not his responsibility, improving every day is”.
