Until a few days ago, Bernardo Silva’s future seemed to be far from Manchester City.

The Portuguese star, whose contract expires in June, had never been included in the Citizens’ future plans and had been approached by several Arab and U.S. clubs for a move in the summer. Now, according to English media, the Manchester club has reportedly reconsidered.

A class of 1994, Bernardo Silva has been playing for Manchester City since 2017, when he left Monaco for 50 million euros. Before moving to the Principality, he played for many years at Benfica. With the English club he collected more than 440 games and on several occasions he also wore the captain’s armband. In his very rich palmarès there are a lot of trophies won with the English club: 6 Premier League, 4 English League Cups, 2 FA Cups, 3 English Super Cups, 1 Club World Cup and especially 1 Champions League won in 2023 after beating Inter Milan in the final.

The experienced midfielder seems to be willing to stay in Manchester, a very different situation, however, for his teammate John Stones. The English defender, also due to expire in June, has already asked his entourage to consider alternative solutions as he wants to try a new experience after his many years in Manchester. Also on his trail is Bayern Munich.

Max Eberl is looking for reinforcements to replenish the defense and Stones likes him a lot: he would bring great experience to the team and could arrive at no cost. So far, there has been no concrete contact yet between the Bavarians and the Englishman&#8217s entourage, but there could be big news in the coming weeks: John Stones is also in demand in the very rich Saudi Pro League and Bayern Munich needs to speed things up.

The Bavarians are looking for a new player.

Should the Bavarians fail to convince John Stones to move, they will put their money on Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi. The Argentine is among the best players with an expiring contract and has already informed his club of his desire for a change of scenery: Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Barcelona and Chelsea also like him.

The Bavarians are also interested in Stones.
