Serie B, two disqualified. Double fine for Catanzaro

The Giudice Sportivo has issued disciplinary measures after the 27th day of Serie B. Only two players have been disqualified, both suspended for an actual day of competition: Natan Girma of Reggiana and Luca Palmiero dell’Avellino. The former will have to miss the home match against Sudtirol, while the latter will not be present in the away match in Venice.

GIRMA Natan (Reggiana): for improper behavior towards an opponent; already warned (Fifth sanction).
PALMIERO Luca (Avellino): for misconduct against an opponent; already warned (Fifth sanction).

As for the clubs, however, double fine to Catanzaro: of €2,000 “as objective responsibility, for having
unjustifiably causing the delay of about two minutes of the’start of the match”, and € 4,000 “for having, during the course of the match, thrown numerous plastic objects of various kinds into the playing area; penalty mitigated under art. 29, paragraph 1 letter b) CGS”.

Fine of 2,000 € also for Sampdoria “for having its supporters, during the match, throw some paper balls on the ground and in the playing area; attenuated penalty ex art. 29, paragraph 1 lett. b) CGS” while Venezia was fined 3.000 €“for having its supporters, in the course of the match, throw into the playing area numerous paper cups one of which hit a steward without injury; attenuated penalty under art. 29, paragraph 1 lett. b) CGS”.
