During the quarterfinal two years ago against Alexander Zverev, in fact, a swarm of bees invaded the court, forcing the German and Alcaraz himself to stop and wait for a beekeeper to intervene so that he could clear the area of the swarm and resume play. Thus, on the Italian night between Thursday and Friday, a small group of supporters wearing a bee costume caught the attention of the world number 1 ranking player, inviting him to join them in the friendly choreography.
