The Portuguese winger also talked about soccer market. In particular, about his compatriot Bernardo Silva, who has been approached by the Old Lady: “I know him very well, he is very strong but we have not talked about that. I do not know if Juve wants to buy him, but if he asked me something I would tell him that it is a top club that wants to win. Every club in the world would like Bernardo on the team”.

Juve’s market will also depend very much on whether the Bianconeri qualify for the next Champions League: “I don’t care who doesn’t qualify, the important thing is that we qualify. We know we have the quality to be there. Tomorrow we have to win the game, we have to be at the top because I repeat that we have the qualities to be there”.

In the meantime, Juventus is working on the renewal of Luciano Spalletti, who has had more than positive contacts with the Bianconeri management so much so that the former national team coach is expected to sign a contract extension soon. There are two hypotheses for the Certaldo coach’s renewal that differ both in terms of duration and salary.

The first option, which is more articulated, calls for a contract extension until 2027 at six million euros, plus an easily attainable one in bonuses, per season with an option for the following season in favor of the club at the same figures. The second, on the other hand, is simpler: two-year renewal at five million euros a’year. At the moment, the most credited hypothesis seems to be the first.
