Milan market, shopping list ready: big names in all departments

Archived the victorious derby that, besides exalting the environment, put a serious mortgage on Champions League qualification, Milan can think well in advance of what will be the market maneuvers for next summer, with the goal of guaranteeing Massimiliano Allegri the most competitive squad possible to face the championship and the top European competition. The budget, thanks precisely to the return to the Champions League, should be higher than in the summer of 2025, for a level market in every department.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Livorno-born coach met with CEO Giorgio Furlani over lunch in recent days, precisely to define the first strategies, to be later agreed upon with D.S. Igli Tare. Allegri wants reliable profiles, ready and with international experience, to leave no stone unturned: in defense, the hottest names are those of Kim Min-jae of Bayern Munich and Mario Gila of Lazio, both considered ideal to give solidity and depth to the department. Favorite for now is the Spaniard, whose salary is more affordable for the Rossoneri’s coffers.

In midfield, the big target is Leon Goretzka, one of the most hotly contested players on the European market. The German, who after his long experience at Bayern Munich is evaluating different options across Europe, would represent the quality leap required by the coach to give physicality, insertions and leadership to the midfield, alternating with a Fofana who has shown growth but who cannot shoulder the double commitment (triple, considering also the Italian Cup) alone.

The offensive department is the one on which Allegri wants to intervene most decisively, since this year the Rossoneri coach has often had to make a virtue of necessity, even inventing important role changes such as Rafael Leao center forward or Ruben Loftus-Cheek second forward. With Santi Gimenez in the balance (his future will depend on his performance when he returns from injury) the first name on the list is Moise Kean, whom the coach knows well from his Juventus days.

The Azzurri striker&#8217s contract includes a termination clause of 62 million euros valid between July 1 and 15: an important figure but considered sustainable if Milan were to close some disposals, such as that of the Mexican if he does not convince further. The’alternative is Borussia Dortmund’s Serhou Guirassy, while Dusan Vlahovic seems more and more distant given the rapprochement, in terms of renewal, between the Serbian and Juventus.
