Serie B 2025-2026: Modena-Spezia, the likely lineups
The Serie B weekend opens with Friday’s early match at Stadio Alberto Braglia between Sottil’s Modena and Donadoni’s Spezia. Teams on the pitch at 8:30 pm. The challenge puts heavy points up for grabs on both sides, with opposite goals between the two formations. The Canarini are looking for continuity in front of their fans, while the Ligurians arrive in Emilia with a squad decimated by injuries. Modena wants to pick itself up after a difficult period in which it has struggled mightily to score, failing to bring home a victory in recent outings. For this reason, Sottil wants to avoid another misstep, especially against a Spezia side that in the last four matches has lost only once and is galvanized especially by the recent home success against Monza.
The match represents a key junction for the seasonal objectives of both: if Modena is looking for points to remain stably among the top eight and play for the playoffs, the Ligurians aim to momentarily get out of the relegation zone, hoping for a possible misstep of the teams in front of them especially Sampdoria, which has to deal with the first in the class tomorrow.

Donadoni faces a full offensive emergency given the absences of Di Serio, Skjellerup and Vlahovic. The choices going forward are almost a must, with Artistico as the point, supported by Valoti. In the middle of the field will try to close more spaces with the trio Bandinelli, Romano and Bellemo in front of the defense led by captain Hristov, a fundamental pillar of the team.
