After Borussia Mönchengladbach’s home success with St. Pauli, the 26th day of the Bundesliga continues with five challenges scheduled for Saturday, while the other three will be played on Sunday. As many as four are played at 3:30 p.m.: the big match between Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich stands out, Borussia Dortmund hosts Augsburg, Hoffenheim awaits Wolfsburg, while Eintracht Frankfurt receives Heidenheim. Finally, at 6:30 p.m., a salvation challenge between Hamburg and Cologne.

All eyes will undoubtedly be on the challenge between Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich to be played at the BayArena. The Bavarians, fresh from their resounding success with Atalanta (6-1) in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16, are looking for their sixth consecutive league win to consolidate the top spot (they are +11 up on Dortmund), while the Aspirins are obliged to win to keep alive their hopes of hitting a spot in the top four.

Who can take advantage of Bayern’s tricky challenge is Borussia Dortmund, which challenges Augsburg at Signal Iduna Park. With a win, the yellow-and-whites, firmly in second place with a six-length lead over Hoffenheim, could shorten the distance to the Bavarians. The guests, on the other hand, are in a fairly quiet standings situation with a seven-point lead over the playoff zone.
