Between the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, Marco Bezzecchi took four victories in a row, giving great excitement to Aprilia and putting Ducati in trouble, which had not gone this long without success since as far back as 2021. In the Brazilian GP also came the second place of the other Aprilia factory with Jorge Martin in the saddle. After this race, Gigi Dall’Igna shared a post on LinkedIn.

“New circuits are always a source of uncertainty and for us this turned out to be a grand prix below expectations, in contrast to brilliant qualifying where we took the pole and with the victory in Saturday’s Sprint,” the thoughts of Gigi Dall’Igna himself. In addition, the General Manager of Ducati Corse highlighted the need to work, without panicking: “Nevertheless, it is mandatory for us to refine some aspects and continue to work diligently, maintaining patience and composure without panicking. Our focus must be on regaining the performance that distinguishes us and the competitiveness necessary to electrify the entire team.”

Gigi Dall’Igna also commented on the performance of the riders, starting with Fabio Di Giannantonio who took home pole, second place in the Sprint and third in the long race: “Diggia offered an excellent performance. His form has been exemplary, marking a superb start to the season for the VR46 team.”

Space also for an assessment of the performance ofMarc Marquez, who after winning the Sprint, looked underwhelming in the long race, finishing fourth: “Marc faced unusual difficulties, running defensively as he struggled with pace and a feeling of instability on the bike. Nevertheless, he showed great determination, riding aggressively to exploit every ounce of potential. However, even the tenacity typical of a champion was not enough to overcome the limits of this paper.”

Finally, he focused on Pecco Bagnaia, who of all the Ducastisti, seems to be the one in the most trouble: “In addition to technical problems, Bagnaia made a critical mistake in qualifying. On a track like this, where overtaking is notoriously difficult, recovering from a compromised grid position becomes a really tough task.”

Now Ducati has to react, working on the set-up of the Desmosedici GP26 to return to winning as early as Austin, a special track for Marc Marquez: here he has had seven victories since 2013 and also his first win in the premier class. The GP of the Americas is scheduled for March 27-29.
