Marco Bezzecchi stays grounded ahead of Austin

Marco Bezzecchi spoke at a press conference in Austin where the U.S. Grand Prix, the third round of the 2026 MotoGP World Championship, is staged this weekend. In Texas, the Aprilia rider is chasing his fifth consecutive victory in the premier class. “We start from scratch this weekend,” he began, “every race is a chapter in itself. I like the track, I can’t wait to jump on the bike.”
“Part of the track more favorable to the Aprilia? I don’t know, the bike is different than when ViƱales won here two years ago. And then there’s Marquez, I think he has more wins here than I have in my entire career,” the MotoGP leader added.
“It’s nice to be close to Jorge Lorenzo’s record of the most laps in a row leading a race, but it’s not our main goal, mine and the team’s.”
On the dream of becoming world champion at the end of the season: “There are still 40 races left between Sprint and GP, it’s too early. I would like to be competitive throughout the season and I will try to work at my best every weekend, but today I don’t want to fill my head with these things…”
“I will do exactly what I have done so far to stay in front, give my best on the track and at home,” explained the Romagna centaur. “To be prepared before the races and then at the GPs to work in the best way.”
“How long do you have to wait to get a picture on the values of the championship? Difficult to make comparisons between my Aprilia and the Ducatis. What is important is that I feel very good and loved in the box, this is what matters most to me,” Bezzecchi concluded.
