Trieste goes to Cantù, Taccetti fears two aspects of the white-blacks

After the external defeat with Reyer Venezia, Pallacanestro Trieste is awaiting a new LBA away game. On Sunday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m., the red and white team will be on stage at PalaDesio against Pallacanestro Cantù, in the match valid for the 24th day of the championship. The challenge puts in front of two teams with different goals but with the same need to find continuity.
The white-blue club, penultimate in the standings with 12 points, is looking for results to move away from the last positions; the Julian one, sixth with 22 points, on the other hand, wants to continue its path of growth and give value to the performances of recent weeks, going after important points in view of the playoffs.
“We have to carry with us the things we did well and at the same time improve to take away those situations where we take partials that somehow condition the game, as happened to us against Venice,” Coach Francesco Taccetti began in the press conference. “We are certainly doing a lot of things well that have to give us confidence. We have to find these certainties and bring them inside the 40 minutes.”
On opponents: “It is absolutely a very talented team from the offensive point of view, with many players who can light up and score partials even individually. They will certainly make a lot of use of the three-point shot, we will have to be careful to limit them from that point of view and at the same time limit the impact in the area of Ballo, who in the last few games is showing great growth and can be a factor near the basket.”
“At the level of balance we are still looking for new situations, because we have to recover all the players on the roster and at the same time adjust the balance also based on the entry of Josh Bannan. We are experimenting with new things, we are still in an evolutionary phase, however, we want to go back to playing faster and be much more effective and direct when we have to attack in the half court,” Taccetti concluded.
