Cantù doesn’t give Trieste a chance: the match in Desio closes on an eloquent 97-76.

De Raffaele deploys Robinson right away and does well because the newcomer has a great desire to play, raises the pace and dispenses assists. Fevrier is a fury and the hosts fly to 11-2. Trieste recovers to -4. Cantù, with bombs by Basile (2) and Green stretches to 31-20 that closes the first period. The red-and-whites restart with a 5-0 run and at halftime they are down by 7 (41-34), same gap with 2′ to the buzzer coming on 54-42 for the Brianzoli.

The game starts again and Cantù chastises a bungling Trieste with a 6-0 partial for a 60-42 that is almost a sentence. On -20 come two free throws by Ross to unlock the guests but the white-and-blue don’t lose consistency and close the period at +16 while from Sassari comes the news of Treviso’s external success.

With four points Trieste tries to get closer at the beginning of the fourth quarter an effective Okeke (excellent also Ballo) and especially Green throw it back: at halftime it’s +21 (87-66). There is no more game: Cantù wins 97-76.
