Errani and Paolini defeated in Miami: damn rain

Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini’s run in the doubles tournament of the WTA 1000 in Miami ends with a defeat in the final.
In a match conditioned by rain, the two Azzurre lost in two sets 7-6, 6-1 to the pair formed by the Czech Kateřina Siniaková and the American Taylor Townsend.
The rain played a decisive role: the first set, very balanced, was interrupted before the beginning of the tie-break. Upon returning to the court, the two Azzurre looked unrecognizable and lost the tie-breaker with a dry 7-0. A blackout from which the two Italians never recovered: same music in the second partial, which saw ours collapse 6-1.
The two Olympic champions will be back on court in a few days in Velletri, where the Billie Jean King Cup is scheduled against Japan.
