Roma, Wesley's injury is serious: one month stop and no Inter Milan

Bad news for Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma: tests undergone by Wesley, who was injured with Brazil in the friendly lost to France’s Seleçao led by Carlo Ancelotti, have confirmed a major stop.
The examinations (MRI and ultrasound) showed a muscle-tendon injury to the right hamstring. Recovery time is estimated at about four weeks. As a result, the Giallorossi outfielder will be forced to miss several games: the match against Inter at San Siro (scheduled for Easter Sunday), the home matches against Pisa and Atalanta (April 10 and 18) and the away match against Bologna on April 25. The goal is to return for Roma v Fiorentina on May 3.
Convoked by Carlo Ancelotti for the 2026 World Cup preparation friendlies, Wesley was injured during the Boston match against France and was forced to forfeit the following match against Croatia as well. A heavy absence for Roma, currently sixth in the standings and in the midst of the race for a Champions League spot.
This is not the only problem for Gian Piero Gasperini, who will also have to do without Koné, who is out with a muscle injury. However, positive signs are arriving from Turkey’s training camp: Celik has recovered from his calf problem and is back available for coach Vincenzo Montella ahead of the final match against Kosovo, valid for World Cup qualification.
In the meantime, Soulé continues to work with a trainer to better manage his pubalgia, continuing his recovery path after returning to the group last week.
