World Playoffs: Turkey, Czech Republic, Sweden celebrate

Bosnia, Turkey, Czech Republic and Denmark: these are the four selections that qualified for the World Cup after the European playoffs. In Zenica, Bosnia bent Italy on penalty kicks after a 1-1 draw after regulation and extra time, Kean and Tabakovic scoring. Pio Esposito and Cristante’s mistakes from the penalty spot were decisive.
Montella’s Turkey needed only Akturgoglu’s goal at 53′ to bend Kosovo, while Sweden overcame Poland 3-2 with goals from Elanga, Lagerbielke and Gyokeres, Zalewski and Swiderski’s goals were not enough for the Poles, Lewandowski failed to make an impact.
The Czech Republic-Denmark also ended on penalties: the Czechs qualified for the World Cup after regulation time and extra time ended 1-1.
