Lately, Max Verstappen has been harshly criticizing the new Formula 1, going so far, several times, as to threaten to leave if the situation does not improve. The four-time World Champion’s resentment is evident: he does not enjoy driving the new single-seaters and feels “stuck” by the new regulations. Many think he is right, others, like Martin Brundle, are, however, tired of hearing him criticize this new Formula 1.

“Max is very direct, he always has been. But this is getting tiresome. Either go away or stop talking about it. Schumacher would take a firm stand in private and leave with a smile. He is damaging the sport while he is still a part of it,” the harsh words of former driver Martin Brundle, now a TV pundit, to the Sky F1 podcast.

Martin Brundle rehashed the punchline, hinting that should Max Verstappen leave, there will be others to take his place: “If Max leaves, the sport will move on. There is a list of Antonelli, Bearman and Lindblad waiting for their chance for 1% of his salary.”

In short, according to the former driver the statements of the four-time World Champion would no longer make sense. Better to make a clear decision and never return to the subject. The Dutchman, on the other hand, continues to criticize F1, as if he wanted to get to the point where his demands will be heard, although, at the moment, it seems decidedly unlikely to happen.
