Relationship between Stefano Gentile and Guerri Napoli ended: there's the statement

With an official statement, Guerri Napoli confirmed the end of the relationship with Stefano Gentile, the team captain and locker room man.

This is the statement released by the Campania-based club: “Guerri Napoli announces that the contract that bound the club to point guard Stefano Gentile has been terminated by mutual consent. The club thanks Gentile, who also held the delicate role of team captain, for his professionalism and wishes him the best of luck in his future, both personally and professionally.”

Stefano Gentile, 36, boasts a long experience in Serie A. The son of Nando Gentile and brother of the younger Alessandro Gentile was linked to the Neapolitan club in 2025. He has not had as much space this season, going into double figures in points on only one occasion: 10 points, last Dec. 21, 2025, against Reyer Venezia. In total, he averaged 2.1 points per contest in the league.

At this point, barring any surprises, the experienced point guard/guard should go to play in Scafati, in Serie A2. The officiality of the new deal is expected soon.
