Sofia Goggia makes young and old happy

Sci Club Aterno Pescara

An intense and memorable experience: this was the end of the adventure of the competitive team of Sci Club Aterno Pescara, baby and puppy categories, engaged in Ponte di Legno/Passo del Tonale for the national final of the Gran Premio Giovanissimi 2026.

In addition to the results obtained in the race, what made the trip really special was the meeting with two great protagonists of Italian skiing who showed great sensitivity and kindness: Sofia Goggia, fresh world champion in Super G and great protagonist in Milano Cortina 2026 with a very precious bronze medal, and the historical multi-champion Deborah Compagnoni. It was also a significant moment from a training point of view, shared with Fisi president Flavio Roda, former coach of Alberto Tomba, and with coach Giovanni Feltrin, coach of the women’s national team.

The young athletes had the opportunity to confront directly with the champions, ask questions, receive autographs and experience the reality of high-level skiing up close. A valuable opportunity that made the competition something more: a complete experience, between sport, inspiration and sharing.

“It was an exciting moment – comments the president of Sci Club Aterno Pescara, Mattia Giansante, to the microphones of ‘Il Centro’ – a sort of extra prize for the commitment and the results obtained. The boys will take with them memories that go beyond the race and represent an added value in their sporting and human journey.”
