Cantù, Roberto Allievi breaks ground on the market

There are still four games left on the calendar and a salvation to conquer for Acqua S. Bernardo Cantù, but the top management is already imagining future scenarios related to the market, both incoming and outgoing. The president of the Brianza club, Roberto Allievi, touched precisely this key during an interview with LE-News, in which he drew a rather significant picture.
“Before talking about programming – he explained – we must think about salvation, which remains the number one priority. However, I can say that we are moving, we are observing the context and making our assessments. The first step is to define a budget that will allow us to face next season with the necessary resources to meet the needs that will inevitably come.”
“Right now several of our players are being followed by Italian and European clubs,” he then admitted, speaking about possible exits. On our part there is a willingness to make economic proposals adequate to their expectations, but we also trust in the bond that these guys have matured with us during the year. We have always treated them with respect, we have stood by them in difficult moments and, despite defeats, we have never taken punitive measures.”
“We have tried to meet their needs, including those of their families, and we expect a demonstration of attachment,” Allievi added. Until we are certain of salvation, we cannot make concrete offers, but we are ready to do so as soon as the conditions arise. The plans of a club like Cantù Basketball are three hundred and sixty degrees: we are not clueless. If these players stay we will be happy, otherwise we have already identified alternatives and we know perfectly well what the priorities are.”
