Roma restarted with a convincing victory: Gian Piero Gasperini’s Giallorossi knocked out Pisa 3-0 in Friday’s Serie A 32nd-day advance at the Stadio Olimpico and temporarily hooked Juventus into fifth place in the standings, -1 behind fourth-place Como. Malen was decisive with a hat trick for the Capitolini: arrived in January, the Dutch player has already reached 10 league goals. Pisa still last at 18 points and ever closer to relegation to Serie B.

The match immediately went well for the hosts, who unblocked the result in 3′ with Malen: a deep throw by Ndicka, Caracciolo missed the interception and the Dutchman flew towards Semper’s goal, pierced mercilessly. Gasperini’s team controlled the game by managing possession but risked at 17′ when Svilar had to say no to Tramoni.

The Capitolini tried to numb the pace, then accelerated in the final half: at 41′ Pellegrini hit the post on a free kick, shortly after Malen made the double by taking advantage of a favorable rebound in the area. Before halftime bad news for Gasperini, who loses Pellegrini due to a muscle problem, in comes El Shaarawy at the beginning of the second half.

At 52′ Roma finally closes the game with Malen’s 3-0: served vertically by Soulé, the Dutchman sows the seeds of Caracciolo and Calabresi and scores his first hat-trick in Serie A. Roma, strong with its wide lead, managed the match as it wished. Pisa almost never managed to make itself dangerous, apart from twice in the final with Durosinmi, but Svilar was ready.
