Paul Pogba returned to the field for the first time in 2026 after more than four months away from the pitch. The former Juventus and Manchester United French midfielder played the last twenty-five minutes of the match between Paris FC and Monaco, with the result compromised for the Monegasques, who were down 3-1, and received ovations from the Parisian crowd.

After the match Pogba confessed his excitement about his return and the applause of the fans: “The ovation? It really touched me. What I heard in this stadium … it really pleases. I was focused on the race, but I heard them well, and it was very nice.”

“How do I feel? I feel very good. I’m trying to put minutes in my legs and get back in shape, that’s the most important thing. I think it will come with time. We had a great run of results, it’s not easy to come in right away when the team is running well. I am here to give my best until the end.”

Pogba had this to say about his future, “Next year? I am still here, and from what I know we will be here for a long time. I want to be ready, playing 90 minutes is my goal.”

Monaco finally lost 4-1, sunk by Ikone’s double and goals from the two Italians Immobile and Koleosho. In the standings, the Monegasques are fifth, three points behind third place and Champions League qualification.
