The future of Alessandro Cappelletti, now playmaker of Nutribullet Treviso, is still to be written: the 1995 class is expiring his contract and, as revealed during the program ‘Speak&Roll’ on Radio CRC, he does not exclude any possibility even if what will happen between now and the end of the sporting year could weigh not a little on any kind of evaluation.

“Clearly I had signed with Treviso because I believed in salvation – said the former, among others, of Siena, Virtus Bologna and Dinamo Sassari -, right now my only goal is to try to save myself with this club. The moment the season ends, since I’m expiring anyway, I’ll be open to all possible proposals.”

One of the options on the table is to return to play for Jasmin Repesa, now head coach in Naples, with whom he signed a contract until June 2027: with the Croatian coach, Cappelletti had started this season in Trapani, before the sports justice case that led to the exclusion of the Granata club from the championship. “Should a call come from Jasmin, I will not be able not to listen, aware of the fact that, in case we save ourselves, Treviso would still have priority.”

MVP of Serie A2 in the 2021-2022 season with the Udine robe (with which he won, in the same year, the LNP Italian Cup), Alessandro Cappelletti grew up in the youth of Mens Sana Siena, with which he also made his debut among the seniors and won the 2012-2013 Scudetto later revoked by FIP. In his career, he has also worn the uniforms of Omegna, Virtus Bologna (with which he won the Basketball Champions League in 2019), Torino, Verona, Sassari and Trapani, before agreeing to the current 2025-2026 season with Treviso.
