“Today I played with great concentration and I am very happy to have reached my second final here, especially against Sinner. Now I want to recover my energy to better prepare for tomorrow’s match.”

This is how Carlos Alcaraz commented on his victory over Valentin Vacherot and his qualification for the final of the Monte Carlo tournament, where he will face Jannik Sinner.

This will be the eighth final between the two, the first in 2026 and the third on clay, with a record of two wins for Alcaraz and one for Sinner in Umag. Overall, the record has the Spaniard ahead 11-6.

“It’s a beautiful spot for the sport, first place is also up for grabs and the match will be even more special. I’m happy to have won a tough match today with Vacheron, who was playing at home and is confident,” concluded the Spaniard.
