Max Allegri new coach of'Italy? Cassano attacks, coach sneers at him in press conference

Massimiliano Allegri since becoming one of the candidates for the role of technical commissioner of the Italian national team has been targeted by several pundits and former players, including Antonio Cassano. During the Viva el Fútbol broadcast, the Bari striker has often attacked the Tuscan coach, but his tones have become particularly harsh in recent days.
“Allegri is the main coach not coach. He is leading our soccer into the abyss, he is the disaster made by Allegri and in the last ten years. He doesn’t know how to coach, he talks nonsense, he keeps earning a lot of money and I don’t understand why,” Fantantonio said.
Allegri responded ironically to Cassano in a press conference, “I had the good fortune and pleasure to coach Cassano, he had extraordinary plays, I think he was a bit close to Ronaldinho, who was someone who passed the ball where he wanted. I respect everyone’s opinions, if for him I am responsible for the problems of the national team, he paid me a compliment….”
On the possibility of coaching the Azzurri, the AC Milan coach responded thus, “Before the coach they will have to decide who is the president. Then after that they will decide from there.”
Allegri is among the candidates for the Azzurri bench along with Antonio Conte and Roberto Mancini. The final decision will be made after the June federal elections. Directing the Azzurri in the next two friendly matches will be current Italy Under-21 coach Silvio Baldini.
