Torino, Urbano Cairo updates on D'Aversa’s future

Four wins in six matches for Roberto D’Aversa on the Torino bench. After a positive debut against Lazio, the granata repeated against Parma, Pisa and Verona, losing only to Napoli and Milan in two hard-fought matches. D’Aversa’s performance seems to have convinced not only the fans but also the management, which would be ready to confirm their trust in him next season as well.
In this regard, the floor is up to Urbano Cairo, who in an interview with Sky updated on the coach’s future after the match with Verona: “An important victory for us, with a first half that was not brilliant and a second in which D’Aversa put some things right, it was a second half of a high level, we did good things. The coach after 6 games has made 12 points, not a few. And in the tally there is also to put a game in Milan played with great determination.”
The team has been put back on the right track and Cairo is the first to say so: “Will he be confirmed for next season as well? We are talking about it with Petrachi. We are happy with him. A decision has not been made yet…He has been good at getting into the players’ heads immediately. And he put the players in the right place, positioning them in the best place for them.”
“He gave the push they needed. Sometimes when there is a change the team shakes up and sometimes this reaction is short-lived. But in this case it is lasting instead,” the Torino president concluded, giving D’Aversa credit for what he did.
